Teaching Fellow in Biological/Evolutionary Anthropology University of Bristol - Department of Archaeology and Anthropology, School of Arts

We wish to appoint a Teaching Fellow in Biological/Evolutionary Anthropology to join the Department of Archaeology and Anthropology at the University of Bristol for a fixed term of 10 months. This post represents an exciting opportunity for an early-career scholar with a developing reputation in anthropology. We are unique in the UK in offering a truly ‘four-field’ approach to anthropology, with programmes that incorporate biological anthropology, social anthropology, linguistic anthropology and archaeology, and our diverse researchers collaborate in a thriving interdisciplinary environment.

The postholder will contribute to the co-ordination, delivery and assessment of high-quality teaching in Biological/Evolutionary Anthropology, and will contribute to the administrative functioning of the Department. The successful candidate will hold a PhD in anthropology, and have teaching experience at undergraduate level, ideally in evolutionary, population/health, and quantitative topics in anthropology.

Please address informal enquiries to the Head of Subject, Dr Joanna Brück (joanna.bruck@bristol.ac.uk)

The post is available from September 2016.

Please note if you are an overseas national without permission to work in the UK you will be unable to apply for this role as we will not be able to obtain a certificate of sponsorship as we will not meet the requirements for the resident labour market test.
